From April 18-22, HIAA and ASI were involved with Aggie Days in Calgary teaching urban school students all about horses with our popular equine welfare and care education5photo centre. From Wednesday to Friday, around 10 000 students were on the grounds being educated about agriculture. They were accompanied by 3500 teachers and 4000 volunteers. Thanks to Linda Jesse and Kathy Marston for teaching these students with us.

2photoOn the weekend, there were thousands of families at Stampede Park for the "Family Fun Days" for "Edu-tainment" and "Giddy-Up Aggie Days" for children with unique challenges. Admission was free this year! We received many questions from parents looking to get their children started in riding lessons. Luckily, the Alberta Stables Initiative information was there to distribute to those parents. Calgary-area participating stables, look forward to some phone calls!

Thanks to our volunteers who helped out over the weekend! 6photo
